Chicken Nihari
Ingredients
- Chicken 1300 gms
- Ghee 150 gms
- Onion 1 medium
- Ginger/Garlic paste 2 tbs
- Red chilli powder 1/2 tbs
- Salt 1/2 tbs
- fennel seeds powder 1/2 tbs
- dry ginger powder 1/2 tbs
- water 2000 ml
- garam masala 1/4 tsp
- flour 1-2 tbs
For Garnishing:
- Julien cut ginger
- Coriander chopped
- Green chillies chopped
- Lemon half and half
Instructions
- Put oil in a pan and saute chicken until golden.
- Then, add onion, ginger/garlic paste, red chilli powder and salt.
- Saute for 2 mins then add fennel seeds powder and ginger powder.
- Saute and add garam masala.
- Make a thin paste of flour and water.
- Add the flour mixture in the Nihari and cook on low flame for 15-20 mins until desired consistency.
- Garnish and serve with Naan.
